Membership

The Society limits its membership to Surgeons who have demonstrated a commitment to the specialty of colorectal surgery and have undergone a recognised programme of training in colorectal surgery. Where the period of colorectal training is less than two years, special conditions apply. They will have a hospital appointment in colorectal surgery.  Provisional members are admitted to full membership on completion of a minimum of three years in colorectal practice.  A majority of the members have made demonstrable contributions to the advancement of knowledge in the specialty.
