The Auckland Enhanced Recovery After Surgery (AERAS) group is based within the University of Auckland, Auckland NZ and administers an annual course regarding the principles of optimal perioperative care. This course is of relevance to all healthcare professionals (surgeons, anaesthetists, nurses, physiotherapists etc) caring for patients in the perioperative setting and will be administered by a multidisciplinary panel. The invited guest is Associate Professor Dileep N. Lobo from the University of Nottingham who will be speaking on perioperative fluid therapy.
